When you go fishing normally on the beach for cod and flatfish, try always to have a bit of frozen makrel for bait to add a bit to your worms. This will attract sharks. If you get your line back with no hooks you know there is shark about. (This has happened to me more than once in Hanstholm). Then change for some wire-line and bigger hooks size 5.0 to 8.0 and you could catch some big fish. Remember every time to take the wire, big hooks and makrel with you, because there is no telling when the fish will be there. Shark fishing takes a very very long time, so I think it is best to fish for something else until they show up. If you fish only for sharks you may get bored very quickly.
